The nursery children have experienced a wealth of enrichment activities this half-term. They have had fun learning about the different types of transport and concluded with an enjoyable trip on a riverboat down the River Thames. It was lovely to see all the children dressed as their favorite book characters on World Book Day. We had the pleasure of author, Camille Goodman read her wonderful story to the children. While out and about, it is wonderful to see the children using their knowledge of Spring to point out and name the Spring flowers as well as the shapes learnt. The children are aware of the Easter story and were very creative making delightful Easter art and crafts, the nursery classroom looked very festive. During assembly, they wore their beautiful Easter bonnets, sang and did the actions to the Spring songs brilliantly. The children were so excited when the duck eggs arrived at school and eagerly waited for the eggs to hatch. They have had the opportunity to hold them and watched them swim in the ‘pretend pond’. The children are aware that eggs are a reminder that Spring is the season when many animals have their young.
